Los estudiantes latinos tienen una fuerte presencia en las graduaciones de CMC
A principios de mayo, Colorado Mountain College realizó 15 ceremonias de graduación en un distrito de 12,000 millas cuadradas. La universidad celebró que más de 1.360 estudiantes obtuvieran títulos universitarios, certificaciones y diplomas de equivalencia de escuela preparatoria.
Los estudiantes latinos tuvieron un gran impacto en estas graduaciones, participando como oradores, ganadores de premios y graduados mientras las familias, amigos y los estudiantes, profesores y personal de CMC los animaban. In response to a growing number of vacant hospitality jobs in the Aspen area, Colorado Mountain College is excited to announce a new state-of-the-art teaching and learning kitchen at CMC’s Aspen campus. The new culinary laboratory, expected to be completed before the 2023 Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, is made possible thanks to a $1 million donation from the Morgridge Family Foundation. We’ve seen evidence that smaller, rural institutions like Colorado Mountain College can be highly nimble, pivoting to adapt to changing conditions. It is an honor to recognize the entire team at CMC that handled the persistent, colossal and unplanned adversity of the pandemic. Together, we adjusted quickly to meet the needs of our students and communities, waiving tuition, expanding technologies and shifting hundreds of courses to remote modalities. And while the pandemic was a once-in-a-lifetime public health crisis — we hope — the adaptability exemplified by CMC is an enduring characteristic. Innovation is what we do.
