CMC is a comprehensive, public, open-access dual-mission institution offering 136 academic programs ranging from bachelor’s and associate degrees, specialized certificates, and a wide range of online, non-credit and lifelong learning courses, as well as extensive concurrent enrollment opportunities in close partnership with neighboring school districts.

Over 15,000 students attend CMC annually, and 40% of degree-seeking students earn a certificate or degree every year. The college’s Latinx enrollment has doubled in six years to 29%, making CMC a federally-designated Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI). CMC courses are highly personal and many are experiential by design, each with a maximum registration of 25 students.

Colorado Mountain College campuses are located in Aspen, Carbondale, Breckenridge, Dillon, Steamboat Springs, downtown Glenwood Springs, Glenwood Springs-Spring Valley, Leadville, Rifle, the Vail Valley, and Salida. Of these locations, three are “traditional” residential—Spring Valley, Leadville, and Steamboat Springs; students in Breckenridge (and coming soon – in Edwards, Spring Valley and Steamboat Spring) have access to college-owned apartment-style housing. CMC campuses are close-knit communities, on average serving between 1,000 – 2,000 students.

The majority of the college’s financial support comes from local property taxes, not tuition or state revenues.  Consequently, CMC is uniquely positioned to be entrepreneurial, nimble, mission-focused, and responsive to community and workforce needs. The college’s Central Services office, which provides administrative support to all campus locations, is located in historic downtown Glenwood Springs, the town from which CMC originally launched in 1965.

The position

Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Information Technologies, the Director of Enterprise Applications performs leadership and supervision, user consultation, systems design and analysis, and documentation based on approved functional specifications and performs project walkthroughs on assigned priorities. The position adheres to established policies and procedures and will be responsible in setting standards, policies, and procedures based on best practices within the higher education environment. The Director of Enterprise Applications works with the IT management team to establish departmental direction that is sensitive to user defined priorities, realistic timelines, and supports the direction and vision of the Executive Director of Information Technologies.

Hiring range = $120,057.67 - $133,397.41 annual salary depending upon a combination of education and experience. Pre-requisites for Position (Qualifications Standards)

The position

Under the supervision of the Campus leader or designated staff, the Manager of Events, Conferences and Recreation manages all operations and programming for campus events and conferences, the Outdoor Leadership Center & Field House, and additional campus outdoor recreation areas. The position provides leadership, supervision, and strategic direction for campus events and conferences, and a growing recreation program. General responsibilities include oversight of daily campus events and related facility administration, including event scheduling and, event planning, staff management, and related facilities coordination.

This position is the primary contact and coordinator for all campus events, including college and community conferences.  This position will conduct outreach and promote, organize, and coordinate events on the Spring Valley campus to fully utilize campus facilities. The Manager collaborates with campus, community, and college-wide partners to enhance the client experience.

Varying work schedules will be required; evening and weekend hours will be necessary at times based on position responsibilities, scheduled events, and needs of the campus.

Hiring range = $78,968.60 - $85,151.33 annual salary depending upon a combination of education and experience. The position

Under the direction of the Director of College Facilities, the Assistant Director of Facilities Operations & Sustainability is responsible for overseeing the College’s facilities maintenance program and the implementation of the college’s sustainability and energy policies.

Areas of responsibilities includes oversight of the college’s work order management system, HVAC preventative maintenance contract, annual review and updating of the facilities condition assessment, the commissioning process for all capital projects, the annual update and reporting of the college’s greenhouse gas inventory, and the oversite of energy policies and standards.

The position meets with the Director of Facilities, college community stakeholders, federal, state, and local agencies to collaborate on implementing the college’s sustainability action plan. The position is responsible for defining scopes of work, interpreting applicable design and construction standards and codes, developing estimates, and meeting with project constituents.

In the event of a campus emergency, special event, closure to maintain campus safety or building operations, this position may be required to work outside of regularly scheduled hours.

Additional responsibilities include coordinating inspections and repair of heating, ventilation, and cooling equipment and controls using necessary tools and testing equipment, throughout the CMC district-wide campuses. This position may also perform other maintenance type duties varying in complexity and relating to facilities upkeep and act as Project Manager for construction projects as directed.

Hiring range = $88,417.22 - $98,188.02 annual salary depending upon a combination of education and experience. The position

The Lab Coordinator - Nursing Simulation provides oversight and support to the nursing program in maintaining the general operation and availability of equipment for the learning labs to ensure that course student learning outcomes will be met. The coordinator provides guidance to students regarding nursing skills and procedures, supports student practice and simulation of nursing practice skills. This position is directly responsible for the incorporation of advanced technology and simulation experiences as well as the creation of simulation experiences that will assist students with critical thinking in the major nursing specialty areas. The position

Under the supervision of a senior level administrator and/or designee, the Recreation and Events Coordinator manages the operations of the campus recreation and wellness center, community education, and associated programs. This position manages the overall functions of the Spring Valley Field House, a 32,000 square foot recreation center. In addition, this position manages several campus outdoor amenities including the Gates Soccer Park, campus mountain bike trails and track, and an 18-hole disc golf course. This position will schedule physical activity classes at the Spring Valley campus at the direction of, and/or partnership with campus academic affairs administrators and the Continuing Education Coordinator. This position is part of a campus-wide team that collaborates with other departments to schedule and manage campus events, conferences, meetings, etc. year-round. This position is responsible for hiring and training staff, building maintenance, and will manage the Field House and related budgets.

Varying work schedule will be required; evening and weekend hours will be necessary at times based on position responsibilities, scheduled event, and campus needs.
