Under the supervision of the Child Care Lead Coordinator, the Child Care Assistant is responsible for the care of pre-school and elementary school-aged children of Colorado Mountain College students.
Childcare services are provided during scheduled hours for students while on campus for classes or other required activities.
The Childcare Assistant assists with compliance with codes of all State and local governing contracting agencies and CMC policies. The Childcare Assistant works collegially with other staff, parents, and faculty members of CMC. The Childcare Assistant is responsible for reporting to the Childcare Lead and maintaining open communication about scheduling, reporting, and duties.

Pre-requisites for Position (Qualifications Standards):
Education and experience necessary for the rigors of the position, such as one year of direct child care experience; early childhood education classes, certificates, or degrees preferred.
Special Skills or abilities directly applicable to the position: Position requires a responsible, kind and dedicated individual to provide quality caring and enrichment activities for children ages from three to twelve.
Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to working in a culturally competent environment and the ability to effectively work with students, employees, and community members having diverse backgrounds.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) or conversational language abilities preferred.
