Who We Are

The Center for Civics Education & Engagement at Colorado Mountain College operates through a collaborative, collegewide structure that empowers every campus. Each location hosts its own Civics Corps, led by dedicated campus civic leaders who coordinate programming across the college and champion local initiatives tailored to their communities.

Our Civics Corps is a vibrant network of volunteers—students, educators, librarians, counselors, advisors, staff, and community members—working together to strengthen civic life. Many also serve in public roles: on town councils, local boards, as first responders, and in environmental stewardship.

Ready to get involved? Explore upcoming events hosted by the Center for Civics Education & Engagement at a campus near you. New programs are added regularly, so check back often—and be sure to submit the Request Information form to stay connected with the latest opportunities.

The value of higher education rests on free thought and the rejection of imposed orthodoxy. Its mission is to cultivate a marketplace of ideas, foster civil discourse, and prepare citizens to uphold the American democratic experiment.
