From 3-4:30 p.m. on Jan. 19, a special Martin Luther King Jr. Day commemoration, hosted by the Colorado Mountain College Center for Civics Education & Engagement, is the first collegewide event of the Center for Civics and will explore the enduring impact of King’s constitutional vision and Colorado’s unique role in shaping democracy. CMC’s Center for Civics offers certified peacemaking and mediation training with renowned local expert Wendy Huber

Colorado Mountain College is offering a free 40-hour mediation training course taught by conflict resolution expert and educator Wendy Huber. The course runs Mondays from 5:30-8:30 p.m., Jan. 26-May 4, at CMC Carbondale.
