Connect to Your Community With a Good Read
Colorado Mountain College's Common Reader Program sparks ideas, conversations and actions
The common reader program at CMC began in the fall of 2007. Every year a book is chosen from those books nominated by faculty, staff and students across all campuses. Each successive year the program has grown in participation, readership and creative opportunities. A major component of this engaging experience is the opportunity to meet and dialogue with the authors.
The common reader program provides a wonderful opportunity for faculty, staff, students and community members to engage in deep learning and meaningful conversation around a common theme. We hope that you will embrace the opportunity to participate in this program as one college and one community across 7,500 square miles of the western slope of Colorado!
