AARP Driver Safety for 50+

This class is sponsored by High Country Retired Senior Volunteer Program and is designed for drivers age 50 and over. It covers topics such as how to compensate for changes in vision, hearing, and reaction time; how to handle problem situations; what to do if confronted by an aggressive driver; how medications may affect driving; and how to assess your own and others' driving abilities with a Personal Driving Capability Index. Most Colorado auto insurance companies offer discounts for course completion. There is a $15 fee for AARP members and a $20 fee for non-members for the workbook and handouts, payable to the instructor. Class will be held at the CMC Glenwood Center at 1402 Blake Ave. Registration is required. Please visit any CMC location to enroll or register online at www.coloradomtn.edu/classes.
