Beginner Skate Cross-Country Skiing with Mike Uncapher

This is a SKATE style, group lesson for first time skate skiers or those who can’t seem to get going on skate skis. Practice the body position and basic movements that form the foundation for skate skiing. Instructor Mike Uncapher brings over 12 years of experience teaching skate skiing. He loves helping others get out there and skate! Students meet at the Spring Gulch parking lot, and bring their own or rented equipment that is appropriate for SKATE skiing. Be prepared for winter weather conditions. Additional Waiver/Release – Health Questionnaire forms must be submitted to Carbondale campus no later than 2 days prior, for students to participate in this class. Call the Carbondale Campus at 970-963-2172 to get electronic forms emailed to you, or stop by to complete the forms in person. Class size is limited is 10 students. Class may be canceled for enrollment below 6 students, or for lack of snow, no later than 2 days prior to the class.
