Identification and Uses of Fabrics

Do you love to sew? Are you interested in clothing design, or are you a salesperson/buyer/merchandizer for a retail store Knowing 'why this fabric' helps you be more informed and smarter when designing, creating or purchasing the clothes you wear for yourself or others. Review the finished fabrics within the four basic types of construction of textiles: 1) Woven, 2) Knitted, 3) Other 4) Non-Woven. Understand what a clothing label means, and why you launder your clothes a certain way. Learn how to remove stains. Examine the latest fabric developments and their properties for end us. Fabric references will come from examples show online and from your closet. There will be links and power point presentations to download for all the materials that have been covered. This information can be used for making a home or office fabric resource library.
