Personal Interests

I am originally from the San Luis Valley in Colorado and also have strong roots in New Mexico and Arizona. I enjoy teaching from a humanistic approach where my classroom is student driven. This approach empowers students by making them feel valued as language is best learned in this type of context that respects and honors students.

I experienced language attrition growing up and I strongly believe that developing my students language doesn't stop in the classroom but it must go beyond the classroom into the world but especially in their homes.

Personal interests: Catholicism, meditation, spending time with wife and dogs, dancing salsa, chess, yoga, basketball, traveling and resistance training.
