I love to teach because I find it to be the most enjoyable way to better the world. I believe that great education has the ability to guide people to be empowered, engaged, and informed citizens. As Margaret Mead said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has. “ The health of both humans and planet earth is dependent on such a committed citizenry. Witnessing the motivation of people and the power of education has given me hope that we can work together to create solutions for a sustainable future. As a Professor at CMC and as Education Director at Aspen Center for Environmental Studies, I have the pleasure of meeting many people that are working toward a better future for our planet and all of its inhabitants.
