Colorado Mountain College seeks an enthusiastic team player to support and provide service to students in a progressive academic setting. Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently and cooperatively with other financial aid staff and campus team members is essential.
Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Financial Aid and campus leadership, the Financial Aid Specialist performs various services to successfully guide students through the financial aid process including outreach, completion of financial aid forms, awarding, monitoring, serve as Work Study liaison and provide effective communication with students. Responsibilities include handling confidential information and review of financial documents with accuracy and consistency; monitoring and updating student records.

Bachelor’s Degree and two years related experience, or an applicable combination of education and experience. Degree in business, finance, accounting or related discipline preferred. Directly related financial aid experience strongly preferred.
Skill and Abilities: Incumbents must effectively work with various student services resources, faculty, and the Business Office.
Must demonstrate a commitment to working in a culturally competent environment and the ability to effectively work with students, employees, and community members having diverse backgrounds.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) or conversational language abilities preferred. Ellucian Colleague system experience desired.
