State aid is available for Colorado ASSET students including those without lawful immigration status

The Colorado Department of Higher Education (CDHE) has a new application to apply for state financial aid for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year for Colorado ASSET students. If you are not eligible for the FAFSA, by submitting the CASFA*, students are considered for state financial aid and other scholarships.

*Your CASFA must be official and complete, including the follow-up requirement, Colorado ASSET Affidavit. Additional documentation may be requested after your initial application is processed, for these funds to be awarded.

Students ineligible to complete the FAFSA, that do not have lawful immigration status, should complete the Colorado Application for State Financial aid (CASFA) using CMC's school code (004506) by the priority deadline.

Students who do not submit the CASFA by the priority deadline of May 1, 2024, are still encouraged to apply after this date and may be considered for additional financial aid opportunities.

If you need assistance with the CASFA contact finaid@coloradomtn.edu or 970-947-8322 with questions.

Once you have completed your application, your Expected Family Contribution (EFC) will be calculated and sent to Colorado Mountain College. Your EFC determines your eligibility for need-based financial aid.

Stay Updated. Monitor your student account and email. Please respond quickly to new items to ensure timely processing of your application.
