TEACHER EDUCATION STIPEND

Grow your own educators and double your gift!

The “Rural Colorado Grow Your Own Educator” grant program through the Colorado Department of Higher Education will provide a one-to-one match for every dollar raised, up to $500,000 annually. These funds will be used to provide support to teacher candidates during their yearlong, unpaid student-teaching fellowship when it is virtually impossible to work another job.

Rural School Teaching Fellows who agree to student teach in one of our local schools receive a $10,000 stipend and priority access for a job in one of our rural school districts. In 2018 every CMC graduating fellow was offered a position in a CMC serving district.

Your gift of $5K will provide $10K in support of a newly credentialed, quality educator in your rural community.
