Colorado Mountain College has named Becky Musselman, a political science faculty member at its Glenwood Center and Spring Valley campuses, as its collegewide adjunct Faculty of the Year.

Musselman, who has taught at CMC for more than 20 years, is known for connecting classroom learning with real-world civic engagement. She founded and leads the college’s Center for Civics Education & Engagement and serves as faculty advisor to the Red, White, and Blue Club.

She was first selected at the campus level before being chosen for the collegewide award.

“Becky’s work extends well beyond the classroom, creating opportunities for students to apply what they learn and engage meaningfully with their communities,” said Kelly Humphrey, CMC vice president and Glenwood Center and Spring Valley dean. “Her dedication and creativity have had a lasting impact on students and the college.”

At the Leadville campus, Colorado Mountain College has named Gabrielle “Gabi” Saliamonas, coordinator of student activities and summer conferences, as its collegewide part-time Staff of the Year.

Saliamonas works in Student Life and Housing, where she helps build student engagement and strengthen connections between the campus and the Leadville community. She has been with the college for more than a year.

She was first selected at the campus level before being chosen for the collegewide award.

“Gabi has expanded student programming, strengthened cross-campus collaboration and brought more of the community onto campus,” said Ben Cairns, CMC vice president and Leadville campus dean. “Her work has helped create a stronger sense of belonging for students.”
