Celebrating Black History Month at CMC
Celebrating Black History Month
Colorado Mountain College is celebrating Black History Month with several events for students at our campuses.
- February 14 - CMC Spring Valley at Glenwood Springs and Colorado Humanities will present “Black History Live: Josephine Baker,” a live portrayal of this world-renowned performer, World War II spy and civil rights activist. Following the performance, KDNK Music Director Cody Lee is curating a set of music that will include recordings of Josephine Baker and of later musicians – both French and African-American – who were influenced by her. Read more about this event.
- February 15 - CMC Steamboat Springs Student Activities is hosting a screening of the movie 13th in the Allbright Auditorium from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. A discussion will follow the film. All are welcome to attend.
