Locale, an exhibit featuring CMC art faculty works, will have an opening reception on Sept. 27 at the Aspen campus gallery. The exhibit and a sister show at CMC Carbondale will be up through Dec. 1.

CMC Aspen art faculty exhibit opening reception is on Sept. 27

Sept. 22, 2023 – Colorado Mountain College’s Aspen campus will hold a reception for “Locale: CMC Art Faculty Art Exhibit,” on Sept. 27, from 4-7 p.m.

The reception will celebrate the exhibition at the CMC Aspen Gallery, 0255 Sage Way, sponsored by Obermeyer Wood, ArtShare and the CMC Foundation.

See artwork created by the CMC Aspen art faculty and learn about CMC Aspen’s course offerings. Admission is free and open to the public. No RSVP is required.

The exhibit includes about 20 pieces, including ceramics, abstract paintings, printmaking and metal creations. The exhibit will be on display until Dec. 1.

The CMC Aspen Art Gallery is open from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. However, availability varies since it is also used for art classes and other functions. For more information, contact the Aspen campus at 970-925-7740.
