CMC asks business community to complete survey

Results designed to build partnerships with CMC, to provide data for upcoming labor market summits and eventually leverage student internship possibilities

The Colorado Mountain College School of Business is asking business owners and nonprofit leaders and managers located in the college’s 12,000-square-mile district and service area to complete an online survey. Submitted surveys will help build CMC/business partnerships and generate data regarding business needs. The survey could eventually lead to internship possibilities for CMC students to work with local companies, organizations and small businesses, creating learning opportunities by applying what students are studying to work-based environments.

The CMC School of Business Needs Survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete and provides business people a forum to express what is working and what is not regarding employees, training and creating mutually beneficial business and higher education relationships.

CMC will utilize data drawn from the surveys as the focal point for two events this fall. The first State of the Labor Market 2022 Summit at the CMC School of Business will take place at Morgridge Commons in Glenwood Springs on Nov. 7, followed by a second summit at the CMC Leadville campus on Nov. 9. Both events will run 8-11 a.m. and the business community is welcomed and encouraged to attend.

“The purpose of The State of the Labor Market Summit 2022 in Glenwood Springs and Leadville,” said Dr. Norma Guzman Duran, dean of the CMC School of Business, “is to engage with employers in our mountain communities to develop meaningful partnerships centered on honest feedback and reciprocal support to advance economic mobility.”
