 CMC Aspen gallery hosts reception May 26 for contemporary quilts exhibition

ASPEN — Colorado Mountain College Aspen will present a contemporary quilt exhibition from May 18 through July 31 at the campus.

The free exhibition highlights a variety of small contemporary quilts from multiple traditions, including Amish quilts, Hawaiian quilts and appliqué quilts, featuring diverse fabrics, colors and patterns.

A public reception will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, and will include a brief talk by gallery collections staff along with refreshments. CMC Aspen is at 0255 Sage Way, Aspen Business Center, Aspen.

The exhibition is presented by the CMC Aspen Gallery and campus with support from the CMC Foundation, ArtShare and Obermeyer Wood Investment Counsel.
