CMC celebrates 18% increase in graduates
Aspen Daily News published this story on May 4, 2026.
Colorado Mountain College sent off its graduates in commencement ceremonies across the Western Slope, celebrating “about 2,000 graduates” across its campuses.
That represents roughly an 18% increase from last year, according to a CMC news release sent ahead of the commencements. Around 500 of those graduates came from the Roaring Fork Valley campuses (Aspen, Carbondale, Glenwood Springs and Spring Valley).
“The most important measure of a college’s impact is the number of successful graduates,” CMC President Matt Gianneschi said in the release. “It means that the college is working for students.”
