CMC human resources executive director selected for emerging leaders’ program
Angela Wurtsmith, executive director of human resources at Colorado Mountain College, and a member of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources, has been selected to participate in a year-long leadership program with the organization. Wurtsmith is one of only six college and university human resource professionals chosen for the program.
The CUPA-HR’s Emerging Leaders program recognizes volunteer members from across the country who have demonstrated exemplary initiative within higher ed human resources and a desire to play an active role in advancing the profession. Participants engage in problem-solving work groups and develop deep networks with peers while gaining an inside look at CUPA-HR’s operations and structure.
Emerging CUPA-HR leaders are selected based on their knowledge, leadership skills, engagement with CUPA-HR and demonstrated willingness to advance higher ed human resources. The new cohort will serve July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023.
The College and University Professional Association for Human Resources is headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee, and serves more than 33,000 human resource professionals and other campus leaders at nearly 2,000 member institutions and organizations around the country and abroad.
