Communication professional Jade Young will give a talk on Sept. 11 at the Leadville campus about creating inclusive communities. The campus invites and encourages community members to attend.

Sept. 7, 2023 – Jade Young is a communication professional, educator and community builder. On Sept. 11, Young will give a talk at Colorado Mountain College Leadville titled, “Home is Where the Start Is: Co-Cultural Relationships to Grow LGBTQ+ Inclusive Communities” at the Coronado Café on campus.

Young’s talk is the campus’s second of seven Speaker Series talks that are taking place during the 2023-24 academic year.

Currently, Young is a placement manager and domestic labor advocate through Adventure Nannies. Her research focuses on marginalized identities within religious spaces, predominantly through interpersonal and organizational communication lenses. She is also an adjunct faculty member at Colorado Mountain College and Colorado State University.

Young’s talk will take place from 12:15-1:15 p.m. on Sept. 11 at the Coronado Café, CMC Leadville, 901 S. Highway 24, Leadville. The talk is free and the campus invites and encourages community members to attend.
