CMC to hold Rifle commencement ceremonies May 1 and 4
RIFLE — Graduates from the Colorado Mountain College Rifle campus will participate in three commencement ceremonies on May 1 and 4.
Across Colorado Mountain College’s 11 campuses, about 2,000 students are expected to graduate this year. The college will host 17 ceremonies, including commencement and program-specific events, across its 7,500-square-mile district from April 24 through May 4.

Keynote speaker: Russ George, former Colorado Speaker of the House
A Rifle native, George has served as a representative in Colorado’s 57th House District, the director of the Colorado Department of Wildlife and Colorado Department of Transportation and president of Colorado Northwestern Community College.
High school equivalency/adult high school diploma commencement
6:30 p.m., Friday, May 1
Clough Auditorium, CMC Rifle, 3695 Airport Road, Rifle
Keynote speaker: Laura Hardman, CMC assistant dean of instruction, Glenwood Center administrator
Hardman earned a master’s degree in literacy, language and culture and has been an assistant dean of instruction and the Glenwood Center administrator for the past 12 years.

6 p.m., Monday, May 4

Keynote speaker: Yesenia Silva Estrada, CMC vice president of planning and chief of staff
Silva Estrada works closely with the CMC president, CMC Board of Trustees, senior leadership, faculty, staff and external partners to align planning, policy and resources to the college’s priorities.
