CMC’s Center for Civics hosts ethical leadership program Sept. 3

GLENWOOD SPRINGS — Colorado Mountain College’s Center for Civics Education & Engagement, in partnership with the Hurst Leaders Forum at the Aspen Institute and Keystone Policy Center, will present “Ethical Leadership: Building Trust Through Public Service” from 1-4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, at Morgridge Commons in Glenwood Springs. The event is free.

The program will explore ethical leadership, building trust within communities and organizations, leading across differing perspectives and the role of public service in strengthening communities. Students, educators, community leaders and professionals are welcome and encouraged to attend this interactive workshop exploring civic leadership, public service, ethics, and community engagement through discussion and real-world examples.

CMC President Matt Gianneschi will take part in a leadership conversation, followed by a panel on ethics, trust and public service featuring Hurst Leaders Forum alumni. Charles Dukes, senior policy director and director of education at Keystone Policy Center, will lead a workshop focused on developing a community of practice.

The event is the first in an ongoing Civic Leadership Series offered through CMC’s Center for Civics Education & Engagement, which offers programs focused on civic participation, leadership and civil discourse.
