CMC's vet tech farm hosts free open house Oct. 25
Colorado Mountain College's veterinary technology program is hosting its annual free open house on Saturday, Oct. 25 at the vet tech farm at CMC Spring Valley. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. everyone, from very small children to adults, is welcome to visit the farm.
The Halloween-themed, family-friendly free open house will give attendees a unique opportunity to tour the farm and learn about the college’s veterinary technician program. It also gives animal lovers a chance to meet the farm’s resident animals – and some will even be in costume.
Attendees can also meet vet tech faculty, staff and students, take pictures in a photo booth and enjoy treats and giveaways. Halloween costumes are welcome.
Veterinary technicians must get formal training in required knowledge and skills and graduate from an American Veterinary Medical Association-accredited program – such as CMC’s – with an associate degree in veterinary technology. The open house also gives those who might want to find out more about CMC's program to learn more about it.
The vet tech farm is adjacent to CMC Spring Valley, 3000 County Road 114, Glenwood Springs. Contact Annette Temple, 970-947-8244 for more information.
