
Susana Salamun, Alpine Bank's head of staff development, will be the keynote speaker on Friday, May 2 at the general commencement for CMC Breckenridge and Dillon at the Keystone Conference Center.
Colorado Mountain College Breckenridge and Dillon to hold commencement ceremonies on May 2
CMC Breckenridge and Dillon will celebrate its graduates on Friday, May 2 with two commencement ceremonies – a general ceremony and a nurse pinning ceremony.
Students will receive bachelor's and associate degrees, occupational proficiency and workforce certificates, and diplomas for high school equivalency and adult high school. Additionally, regional high school students in CMC’s concurrent enrollment program will receive their college-level certificates and degrees.
Collegewide, 15 ceremonies total are being held at 11 campuses and additional sites throughout CMC’s 7,500-square-mile district from April 17 through May 5 to honor the accomplishments of the college’s graduating class of 2024-25.
Breckenridge nurse pinning and commencement
Mary Ann Jessee, CMC’s dean of nursing, will give the keynote address at the nurse pinning and commencement ceremony at 10 a.m., May 2 in the Finkel Auditorium at the CMC Breckenridge campus.
Jessee holds a doctorate and is a registered nurse and a certified nurse educator. She recently accepted her position at Colorado Mountain College after serving as the assistant dean at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in Nashville, Tennessee. A recognized leader in nursing education, she focuses on clinical judgment development and curricular innovation. Jessee founded the International Consortium for Outcomes of Nursing Education, a global group of nursing educators and researchers who work together to understand and improve nursing education.

Breckenridge and Dillon general commencement
The Breckenridge and Dillon campus’s general commencement ceremony will be held at 4 p.m., also on May 2, at the Keystone Conference Center in Keystone. Susana Salamun, head of staff development at Alpine Bank, will give the keynote address.
Born and raised in Mexico, Salamun holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education. She moved to Colorado in 2012. In that time, she has worked for Alpine Bank in the areas of electronic banking, compliance, information technology, public relations and staff development.
In 2024, Salamun completed her graduate school of banking degree at CU Boulder and was named one of 40 Under 40 rising stars in Denver’s business community from the Denver Business Journal.
