Colorado Mountain College Ski Team to host Skigles fundraiser Feb. 7

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS – The Colorado Mountain College Ski Team will host the Skigles Soirée, a special fireworks watch party, during Steamboat Springs’ Winter Carnival on Saturday, Feb. 7.

The Skigles Soirée is a fundraiser to support the future of CMC’s Eagles Ski Team, known as the Skigles. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.

The event will take place on CMC’s Steamboat Springs campus, offering guests a prime vantage point for the Winter Carnival’s Night Extravaganza, which includes fireworks, and Colorado’s statewide 150-Year Drone Show. Doors open at 5 p.m., with cocktails, food and live music, followed by a brief program and a meet-and-greet with the CMC Ski Team.

The evening’s fundraising portion will feature a curated auction with items including a Denver get-a-way package that includes Avalanche hockey tickets and hotel, a weekend in Aspen inclusive of hotel and lift tickets, a Lake Tahoe getaway, private fly-fishing access and other local and regional experiences, outdoor gear and custom skis designed by students in CMC’s ski business program and more.

Proceeds from the event will support the CMC Ski Team, one of the nation’s most affordable and high-quality collegiate ski programs. The CMC Ski Team is an associate member of the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association, comprised of Division 1 universities and colleges in the West and is widely considered the strongest college ski racing conference in the country. CMC's women's and men's ski teams have competed successfully at regional and national levels.

Tickets are limited and available now for $125 per person. Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club’s Winter Carnival buttons will be required for entry and are included in the ticket price. CMC students and alumni receive a $50 discount.
