CMC Vail Valley at Edwards to hold commencement ceremony on May 2

Graduates from CMC Vail Valley at Edwards will participate in their commencement ceremony on Friday, May 2.

Students will receive bachelor's and associate degrees, occupational proficiency and workforce certificates. Additionally, regional high school students in CMC’s concurrent enrollment program will receive their college-level degrees. An earlier commencement at the Edwards campus on April 17 acknowledged students earning high school equivalency and adult high school diplomas.

Collegewide, 15 ceremonies total are being held at 11 campuses and additional sites throughout CMC’s 7,500-square-mile district from April 17 through May 5 to celebrate the accomplishments of the college’s graduating class of 2024-25.

Chris Romer will give the keynote address at Vail Valley’s general commencement ceremony at 5 p.m., May 2, at the Hyatt Beaver Creek.

Romer is president and CEO of the Vail Valley Partnership, the regional chamber of commerce, destination marketing, and economic development organization for Colorado’s Vail Valley. He also serves as president of the Colorado Mountain College Board of Trustees, where he champions student success and community engagement.

Under his leadership, the partnership was named National Chamber of the Year. Romer has received statewide and national honors for his work in tourism and economic development, and he serves on numerous boards, including the Colorado Tourism Office and Northwest Colorado Council of Governments.
