Bear Park Permaculture Center at the Steamboat campus will host the Yampa Valley Sustainability Council when they present a water conservation workshop on Aug. 3.

Free water conservation workshop at CMC Steamboat’s Bear Park on Aug. 3

July 27, 2023 – Colorado Mountain College Steamboat Springs is hosting Yampa Valley Sustainability Council’s free workshop Aug. 3 on water conservation practices and principles for gardens and landscaping at the campus’s Bear Park Permaculture Center.

The workshop will draw on knowledge from local experts in the fields of landscaping, native plants and permaculture and will focus on techniques for watering landscapes efficiently and ways to be water conscious in your landscaping and design to create a beautiful Yampa-scaped garden at home.

After a panel presentation and Q&A, attendees will have the opportunity to tour Bear Park (including the grow dome) to see many of these water conservation practices in action.

This workshop is made possible with generous funding from the City of Steamboat Springs and Mount Werner Water and Sanitation District.
