Halloween-themed running and biking events to be held on Oct. 21

Oct. 16, 2023 – Colorado Mountain College Leadville's seventh annual Haunted Hills Cross-Country/Mountain Bike Race will begin at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21.

The race — presented by On Running on the CMC Leadville campus trails, 901 S. Highway 24 — features a 5K mountain bike, 1.5K boo-friendly kids’ “race” and 5K Haunted Hills events. Racers can race on bikes on foot, or both and are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes.

The best-dressed racers will receive a prize, as will the top overall male and female racers in the bike, kids' and 5K events. Food and drinks, music and kids’ activities are included.

Registration is limited to 100 participants in each event and closes on Friday, Oct. 20. Fees are $15 for kids and $30 for adults. Duathlon registration is $45. All proceeds benefit the CMC cross-country and track teams.
