‘Native Gardens’ heads into final weekend

Sopris Theatre Company at CMC tells a humorous story of gardens, borders and neighbors

Feb. 22, 2024 – Sopris Theatre Company at Colorado Mountain College is in its final weekend of presenting “Native Gardens” by Karen Zacarias, a comedy about neighbors, border disputes and gardens, at the CMC Spring Valley at Glenwood Springs from Feb. 22-25.

Escape the mid-winter cold and follow the tribulations of two neighboring couples as they argue, not only about their different styles of gardening, but a fence line that divides their two properties. Can these next-door neighbors find a way to compromise? Is it possible to love your neighbor when you’re sure they’re invading your space?

“Native Gardens” takes place at 7 p.m. this Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 22, Feb. 23 and 24; and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25 at the New Space Theatre, Calaway Academic Building, CMC Spring Valley, 3000 County Road 114, Glenwood Springs. Admission is $20/adults, $15/seniors, students, CMC faculty and staff; tickets are available at CMC Theatre, Sopris Theatre Company tickets or 970-947-8177.

Sopris Theatre Company’s 2023-24 season is presented by US Bank.
