Free presentation with veterinarian Dr. Ron Carsten at Glenwood Center on Sept. 18
GLENWOOD SPRINGS – Do you ever wish your pets could talk and tell you what’s wrong? According to Dr. Ron Carsten, they can — we just need the skills to listen.
Carsten is a longtime local veterinarian and a pioneer in integrative animal care, which he practices in Glenwood Springs. He combines his background in traditional veterinary medicine with holistic approaches such as nutrition, acupuncture, and rehabilitation with holistic approaches such as nutrition, acupuncture, manual therapies and herbs. In this presentation, he’ll share insights on how to better listen to your pets and respond to their needs.
The presentation is part of an ongoing series of Gift of Education lectures at Colorado Mountain College, which are free, public lectures that bring experts and community voices to share knowledge, ideas and inspiration on a wide range of topics.
Carsten is one of the first veterinarians in Colorado to use the integrative approach in animal care. He is the founder of Colorado Animal Rescue, or CARE, located adjacent to CMC’s Spring Valley campus outside Glenwood Springs, and is the 2022 Colorado Veterinary Medical Association Distinguished Service Award recipient.
