Sopris Theatre Company presents “The One-Act Play That Goes Wrong” in Aspen
Performances at the Wheeler Opera House, Jan. 27 and 28
Jan. 17, 2023 – Sopris Theatre Company at Colorado Mountain College is offering up “The One-Act Play That Goes Wrong” by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields from Jan. 27-28 at Aspen’s Wheeler Opera House.
This whodunit has everything you never wanted in a show — an unconscious leading lady, a corpse that can’t play dead and actors who trip over everything, including their lines. Combining Monty Python comedy with an element of Sherlock Holmes, the Olivier Award-winning comedy follows accident-prone thespians as they stumble their way to curtain call.
This production was directed and designed by Brad Moore and includes cast members Joshua Adamson, Michael Banks, Delven Bourne, JD Edmonds, Bostyn Elswick, Scott Elmore, Wyatt Tulk and Julia Whalen. Stage manager is Zoe Snethen, assistant stage manager is Ellyanne O'Meara, and lighting design apprentice is Alexis Rehorst.
The play runs from 7:30 p.m.-8:40 p.m. at the Wheeler Opera House, 320 E. Hyman Ave., Aspen. Tickets are $20 and are available at aspenshowtix.com or 970-920-5770.
The performance is funded in part by a city of Aspen arts and culture grant and by season presenting sponsor US Bank. For more information, call 970-947-8177.
