CMC Aspen's gallery is exhibiting poster designs from 16 years of the Aspen Valley Ski Club's fundraising race, the Audi Ajax Cup.
The Art of Skiing: AVSC and the Ajax Cup
CMC Aspen hosts exhibit through Nov. 21
Plans are in place for this year’s Aspen Valley Ski & Snowboard Club’s Audi Ajax Cup on Dec. 30. Now in its 16th year, the Ajax Cup is the club’s largest fundraiser of the year where 16 teams race in a dual GS on Little Nell, while paired with a pro or ski legend.
Before the festivities begin, Colorado Mountain College Aspen is hosting an exhibit through Nov. 21 for “The Art of Skiing: AVSC and the Ajax Cup,” where attendees can view many poster designs through the years. This is the first year that the club has held a public poster contest to promote and celebrate the race. The opening reception is free and the public is encouraged and welcome to attend.
This exhibition is sponsored by Obermeyer Wood Investment Council, ArtShare and the CMC Foundation.
“The Art of Skiing: AVSC and the Ajax Cup” is at CMC Aspen, Aspen Business Center, 0255 Sage Way, Aspen. Contact the campus before visiting as viewing times may change.
