Isaacson School Professor Featured on National Podcast as New Conflict Resolution Course Takes Shape
Colorado Mountain College students will soon have the opportunity to learn conflict resolution from one of the field's leading practitioners.
Dr. Will Bledsoe, associate professor in the Isaacson School for Communication, Arts, and Media, was recently featured on the Family Office Exchange (FOX) podcast, where he discussed restorative communication and conflict resolution with audiences across the family business and family enterprise sectors. During the episode, Bledsoe shared insights drawn from decades of experience helping individuals, families, organizations, and communities navigate difficult conversations and repair strained relationships.
The podcast appearance highlights the expertise Bledsoe brings to Colorado Mountain College and comes as he and fellow faculty member Dave Harmon develop a new conflict resolution course for CMC students.
The course will draw on real-world communication challenges and provide students with practical skills that can be applied across a wide range of careers. Whether working in business, healthcare, education, public service, or the nonprofit sector, professionals are increasingly expected to collaborate effectively, navigate disagreements, and communicate across differing perspectives.
Bledsoe's background makes him uniquely qualified to help students develop those skills. In addition to teaching at the Isaacson School, he is the founder of Restorative Way, an organization focused on helping schools, businesses, and communities recognize trauma, resolve conflict, and engage constructively with challenging behavior. He has facilitated more than 1,000 mediation and restorative justice encounters involving courts, schools, workplaces, families, and community organizations. He is also the author of The Restorative Way: Harnessing the Power of Restorative Communication to Mend Relationships, Heal Trauma, and Reclaim Civility One Conversation at a Time.
For the Isaacson School, the new course reflects a commitment to connecting classroom learning with professional practice. Students won't simply study communication theory; they'll learn from faculty whose expertise is being recognized and sought after beyond the classroom.
