RN-BSN Nursing (BS) Learning Outcomes

Program Learning Outcomes are what we expect each student will learn while earning a degree or certificate. Meeting these learning outcomes is how we assess our performance as a college. Our learning outcomes support both important career skills and future success as a student.

Upon completing the Nursing (RN-BSN) program, CMC students will be able to:

  1. Synthesize professional nursing knowledge and leadership while providing quality, safe, person-centered care using clinical judgement.
  2. Incorporate effective communication and professionalism with interprofessional partnerships in a systems-based practice.
  3. Integrate nursing practices and healthcare policies that influence healthcare systems and population health.
  4. Develop interpersonal communication and collaboration of the entire interdisciplinary team for improving patient health outcomes.
  5. Apply the concepts of integrity, dignity, diversity, equity, inclusion, ethics, and social justice in professional nursing practice.
  6. Utilize technology to communicate, integrate data, mitigate errors, increase sustainability, and support decisions for safe, quality care.
