Upon completing the Medical Billing and Coding Certificate program, CMC students will be able to:

1. Demonstrate effective communication skills in various organizational settings and situations.
2. Examine career-oriented management principles and practices including human relations and resources, ethics, leadership, and regulation.
3. Apply the principles of sound marketing practice to a specific organizational context.
4. Utilize techniques required to effectively negotiate and manage contracts, projects, ventures, and risks.
5. Interpret the principles of sound financial practices needed by managers in specific organizational contexts.
6. Apply one's career-specific knowledge or experience to advance career development.

All Medical Billing and Coding students must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screen to work in the medical profession. 

Students must demonstrate college-level proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics as prerequisites for courses within this program. Skills in these areas may affect the sequence of courses in which students can enroll and may also extend the time required to complete this program.
