Send Transcript(s)—High school transcripts are only required if enrolling within 5 years of graduation. Sending transcripts may allow you to skip placement testing. Ask your high school to submit it electronically (such as Naviance) or to email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Get Credit for Previous College Work—Send your college transcripts to CMC ASAP. Visit Transcripts for more information.
Take Advantage of college credit for AP classes with appropriate scores. Go to College Board to submit your AP classes to CMC.
Submit ACT, SAT, or Accuplacer Scores—If necessary, schedule an Accuplacer Test with CMC. For more info, including upcoming dates, visit Placement Testing.
The following scores mean no further placement testing is needed. (SAT and ACT scores over 5 years old are not accepted.)
- SAT - Math 500, Reading & English 470
- ACT - Math 23, English 18, Reading 17
Complete Supplemental Applications if necessary—Check your application portal to see if we need more information for your application.

Apply for General Foundation Scholarships—Deadline is March 1.
Missed March 1st? You can still apply, and scholarships are still potentially awarded. Visit Scholarships for a wealth of information.
Register with Selective Service (Male U.S. Citizens Only)—If a student is eligible for selective service, then by state law they must be registered in order to enroll in CMC classes. You can register online at the Selective Services website.
Submit Immunization Records—if you are attending any classes at a residential CMC campus (Leadville, Spring Valley-Glenwood Springs, or Steamboat Springs). Get your Immunization Form on the Colorado State Web Portal.
Seek Advising—If you are a new student and plan to attend Spring Valley-Glenwood Springs or Steamboat Springs, please proceed to the next step, “Register for Orientation,” which is where you will receive advising and register for classes. For all other students, please contact your campus first to ensure that you are registration ready and then seek advising to register for classes.
Register for Orientation—Register for and attend a Student Orientation if your campus offers it.
