WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Individuals must have experienced an economic loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic in one or more ways.:

  • I, or anyone in my household became eligible for certain federal programs such as SNAP, TANF, WIC, SSI, Medicaid, Headstart, Section 8, IHLEAP, etc.
  • My household became eligible for free or reduced priced lunch
  • I am or have experienced unemployment or underemployment.
  • I am a dislocated worker.
  • I am homeless or at risk of being homeless.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be impacted, in one or more ways above, by the COVID19 Pandemic
  • Colorado residents or ASSET students eligible to pay in-state/in-district tuition
  • Meet income eligibility guidelines
  • Must be in good standing for Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress standards
    • Deadlines are posted on the website for each term for students to submit an SAP appeal.
  • Have a current year FAFSA or CASFA
  • Students must complete a degree or credential by the end of Spring 2024

Finish What You Started Grant

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

For COSI’s Finish What You Started Grant, students must fall into one of the categories below.

Some College, No Degree: Students that currently have some college credits but have not graduated with a degree AND they have not been enrolled for at least two consecutive semesters.

- OR -

First-Time Students: Students that have not attended college but were admitted in 2019-2020 or 2020-2021 academic year but did not enroll at any institution in 2020-2021.

- AND -

Individuals must have experienced an economic loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic in one or more ways:

  • I, or anyone in my household became eligible for certain federal programs such as SNAP, TANF, WIC, SSI, Medicaid, Headstart, Section 8, IHLEAP, etc.
  • My household became eligible for free or reduced priced lunch.
  • I am or have experienced unemployment or underemployment.
  • I am a dislocated worker.
  • I am homeless or at risk of being homeless.

  • Must be considered eligible as a first-time student or a student with some college, no degree as it states above
  • Must be impacted, in one or more ways above, by the COVID-19 Pandemic
  • Colorado residents or ASSET students eligible to pay in-state/in-district tuition
  • Students must complete a credential or degree by the end of Spring 2024

Plus 2 Scholarship

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

This scholarship is for students working towards their Associate Degree AND a Certificate.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Colorado residents or ASSET students eligible to pay in-state/in-district tuition
  • Meet income eligibility guidelines
  • Must be in good standing for Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress standards
    • Deadlines are posted on the website for each term for students to submit an SAP appeal.
  • Have a current year FAFSA or CASFA
  • If you are a U.S. Citizen or Eligible Noncitizen, please complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • If you are an ASSET undocumented student, please complete the Colorado Application for State Financial Aid (CASFA)
  • Will work toward credentials or degrees:
    • Associate Degree with Career Technical Certificate (student must be enrolled year-round)
    • Students must earn an associate degree plus a career technical certificate by the end of Spring 2024

Matching Student Scholarships (MSS)

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

These scholarships are open to students who meet the requirements below.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Colorado residents or ASSET students eligible to pay in-state/in-district tuition
  • Meet income eligibility guidelines
  • Must be in good standing for Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress standard

  • Will work towards credential or degree

Workforce Scholarships

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

These scholarships are for students in the fields of Law Enforcement or Fire Science.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Meet income eligibility guidelines
  • Must be in good standing for Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress standards
