The Reisher Bridge Scholarship helps Colorado Mountain College students finish their associate degree and transfer to a four-year university — with less debt and more support.

As a Reisher Bridge Scholar, you’ll get:

  • Up to $2,000 per term in scholarship funding during your final year at CMC.
  • Personalized transfer coaching and access to the Reisher Navigator who will guide you.
  • Emergency funds (up to $1,000) if life throws you a curveball.
  • Campus visits and workshops to prepare you for success at your next school.
  • Become an ideal candidate for the Reisher Transfer Scholarship, offering awards ranging from $6,000 to $22,000 at one of Colorado’s ten partner universities.

This program is designed for high-achieving, Pell-eligible, first-generation, and rural students who want a bachelor’s degree without piling on debt.

Where Can I Transfer?

Reisher Bridge Scholars can continue their education at:

  • Colorado Mesa University
  • Fort Lewis College
  • Colorado State University (Fort Collins or Pueblo)
  • Metropolitan State University of Denver
  • University of Colorado Boulder
  • University of Colorado – Colorado Springs
  • University of Colorado Denver
  • University of Northern Colorado
  • Western Colorado University

Who’s Eligible?

You can apply if you:

  • Are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Have 30 or fewer credits left in your CMC program.
  • Maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • Complete the FAFSA and qualify for Pell.
  • Plan to be enrolled full-time for the last year at CMC
  • Plan to transfer to one of the partner universities.

How It Works

  1. Apply for the Reisher Bridge Scholarship during your first year as a CMC student
  2. Meet with your Reisher Navigator for advising.
  3. Participate in workshops and transfer visits.
  4. Finish your CMC degree.
  5. Transfer seamlessly to a Reisher partner university.

About the Program

The Reisher Bridge Scholarship is a partnership between Colorado Mountain College, The Denver Foundation, and the Reisher Scholars Program, with support from the CMC Foundation and nine Colorado universities. Together, we’re building a bridge from rural Colorado to bachelor’s degrees and beyond.
