Alejandro was born and raised in Garfield County and is a Coal Ridge High School graduate. Following high school, he attended CMC at the Rifle and Steamboat campuses to earn his Associate of Science in Environmental Science.

He then went on to Colorado Mesa University to earn a Bachelor of Science in Geology. During these years, Alejandro worked as a tutor for TRiO’s Student Support Services and Upward Bound.

After graduating, he remained involved with education, first as a teacher in South Korea and later as a coordinator for a youth natural resource program in Boulder, CO.

In 2023, Alejandro returned and joined CMC as an Admissions Representative for Colorado’s Western Slope. Alejandro is excited to help students of different backgrounds explore what opportunities lie within higher education.

When not at work, you can find Alejandro fishing, exploring our public lands, and watching suspenseful movies.
