Biography
Mary Ann Jessee, PhD, RN, CNE, ANEF comes to Colorado Mountain College from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in Nashville, TN, where she was the Assistant Dean for Academics, Generalist Nursing Practice. For the past 12 years, she led faculty, staff, and students in a large prelicensure nursing curriculum. She has a background in medical-surgical and critical care nursing and 20 years of teaching and course leadership experience. She has extensive experience developing, implementing, and evaluating nursing curricula, and leading innovative clinical learning initiatives in prelicensure nursing education. Her research and scholarship include theoretical and systematic support for the development and assessment of clinical reasoning and judgment and clinical competency in pre-licensure nursing students. She founded the International Consortium for Outcomes of Nursing Education, a collaborative group of representatives from academia, practice, regulation, and accreditation working to strategically address the nursing academic practice gap.
