Connecting with Students at CMC

Colorado Mountain College welcomes the opportunity to work with hiring employers in their recruiting efforts.

Powered by Purple Briefcase

We are very excited to announce that on July 1, 2019, we transitioned to a new and improved career management platform called CMC CareerConnect, with our vendor Purple Briefcase, as the main avenue for sharing job and internship opportunities with students and alumni at CMC.

Quick Start for Employers

Create your FREE account by visiting CareerConnect and click the New Employer button.

How to Connect

If you already have an account with Purple Briefcase, you can request to join our community there. If you have not used this system before for hiring, follow the instructions below:

You can create your FREE account by visiting CareerConnect and clicking the New Employer button.

After you’ve created your account, you’ll be directed to the My Schools page. From here, you can:

  • Set up your employer profile (including logo!) to attract more interest
  • Add job opportunities
  • See your pending school connection request(s)
  • Connect with additional schools

Once we’ve approved your connection, you’ll receive a notification email to the address that you used to create your account. When you post jobs and internships, please be sure to set the status of the job or internship to ‘Submit’ and then click ‘Save’ at the bottom of the page when you are finished.

Campus Visits and Presentations

CMC has three residential campus sites and eight commuter based sites. Build brand awareness of your organization by hosting an information table, offering in-class presentations, or information sessions, and participating in workshops in partnership with Career Services. This is one of the best ways to connect with CMC students and assist them in their career development, while also creating an opportunity to increase students' understanding of what your organization has to offer. Employers may contact individual campuses directly to arrange for a suitable time for an information table in a high student traffic area.

Career Fairs and Events

CMC hosts various events throughout the year to support career exploration for students and job seeking. In many cases, the College partners intentionally with our local CO Workforce Centers when they have any job-related events. Two or three times per year CMC will hold small-scale career or continuing education fairs at one or more campuses.

All planned events are posted on the Career Services Calendar of Events. Registration for these events occurs in CareerConnect, our career platform. Any employer who wishes to receive notices of future events should sign up for an account — details above!
