Under the supervision of a designated supervisor, the Administrative Assistant I works in support of the business or College operations in a variety of work units performing clerical/technical duties. Duties are performed at a fully-operational level using established, standard guidelines and/or procedural methods. This position applies guidelines and uses processes that are stated and defined, and may solve problems.
This Administrative Assistant I position will work 28 hour a week, 7 hours a day, Monday – Thursday 8am-4pm; with some flexibility to roll some hours into Friday. This position primarily supports academic programs aligned within Colorado Mountain College’s School of Tourism, Hospitality, and Recreation. Essential tasks for this position include but are not limited to; building courses, assisting faculty and Assistant Deans of Instruction with paperwork and filing, and purchasing.

Pre-requisites for Position (Qualifications Standards)
Education, Experience and Training Sufficient for the rigors of the position, for example: Associate’s Degree or two-year college certificate, vocational school or technical program beyond high school, business college or similar training efforts and 1 year related work experience, or High School Diploma/GED and 2 years related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of a variety of standard administrative and business methods and procedures; standard Microsoft Office software.
Ability to: read, write, speak, and understand English well; operate variety of office equipment; proficient in computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets and electronic mail; multi-task; meet deadlines; strong verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) or conversational language abilities preferred.
