Kearstin holds a master’s degree, as well as an EMT-B, WFR, AVY I, and Surface Ice Rescue Tech I certification.

Kearstin has been an Outdoor Education instructor on Mountain Orientation and teaches the Backcountry Cooking class. Kearstin has been a leader and counselor in wilderness therapy and in public schools. She also works in the Colorado Mountain College Student Success Program at Spring Valley.
