Main Job Functions:
Cleaning/maintenance of all animal enclosures. Stocking of animal feed including heavy bags and bales of hay and straw. Some grounds keeping, pulling weeds, raking, etc. Grooming and cleaning of large and exotic animals. Miscellaneous seasonal duties. Work performed in bot inside and outside, regardless of weather conditions. Work involves with a variety of people and animals.
Working Conditions:
This position requires constant sitting, occasional walking, standing and driving; occasional handling objects, pushing/pulling; frequent reaching with hands/arms, and use of finger movements; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 lbs. Constant written and oral communication and the ability to reason and analyze and perform calculations occasionally. Work is performed using a computer and standard office equipment daily and driving a vehicle occasionally. Minimum Qualifications:
Available to work weekends and some holidays. Must be punctual, reliable, have a good attitude, be flexible and courteous. Ability to lift at least 50 pounds. Having knowledge of a variety of animals and handling skill is helpful, but not required.
