Main Job Functions:

The work-study Business Assistant supports the daily operations of the Rifle Campus and affiliates by performing administrative, clerical, and project-based tasks. This role provides hands-on experience in business operations, customer service, and organizational management, aligning with the student’s academic studies in Business, Accounting, Marketing, or related fields.

Job Duties:

Assist with general office duties, including filing, data entry, and document preparation. Support tracking and reporting processes (spreadsheets). Help prepare presentations, marketing materials, and departmental communications. Conduct basic research to support department projects and initiatives. Organize and maintain digital and physical records. Collaborate with staff on event planning and execution. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Working Conditions:

This position requires constant sitting, occasional walking, standing and driving; occasional handling objects, pushing/pulling; frequent reaching with hands/arms, and use of finger movements; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 lbs. Constant written and oral communication and the ability to reason and analyze and perform calculations occasionally. Work is performed using a computer and standard office equipment daily and driving a vehicle occasionally. Minimum Qualifications:

Current enrollment in a Business, Accounting, Marketing, or related degree program. Eligible for Federal or State Work-Study funding. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or Google Workspace. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail, accuracy, and organization. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
