Main Job Functions:
Under the supervision of the assigned designee in Student Affairs, the Work Study Clerk assists in the Campus Store with the Learning Materials Textbook Program, inventory tasks, inquiries and basic retail.
Job Duties:
The Campus Store Clerk assists in the daily operations and goals of the Campus store, including providing excellent customer service, point of sale operations, handling cash, & merchandising. The Campus Store Clerk supports the textbook distribution and returns, CMC Learning Materials Program. The WS Clerk position requires a reliable weekly schedule which includes flexibility to accommodate academic courses.
Working Conditions:
This position requires constant sitting, occasional walking, standing and driving; occasional handling objects, pushing/pulling; frequent reaching with hands/arms, and use of finger movements; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 lbs. Constant written and oral communication and the ability to reason and analyze and perform calculations occasionally. Work is performed using a computer and standard office equipment daily and driving a vehicle occasionally. Minimum Qualifications:
Proficiency reading and writing English language, standing, moving and lifting up to 40 pounds; Supports the textbook distribution and returns, CMC LMP, answer questions; Assist customers with purchases, and handout textbooks. puts inventory away; provides responsive service in a team atmosphere.
