Time of Day: Mornings and Afternoons/Flexible

Days of the week: Monday-Friday/Flexible

Main Job Functions:

Provide friendly, professional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and community members. Assist customers with the purchase of apparel, gifts, and other merchandise. Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and accurately process cash, credit card, and electronic transactions. Receive, unpack, stock, and organize merchandise. Assist with textbook distribution and return processes. Maintain accurate inventory through stocking, counting, and reporting discrepancies. Ensure merchandise displays are neat, attractive, and properly priced. Assist with opening, closing, and general housekeeping of the store. Respond to customer questions regarding products, store policies, and course material programs. Perform other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

This position requires constant sitting, occasional walking, standing and driving; occasional handling objects, pushing/pulling; frequent reaching with hands/arms, and use of finger movements; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 lbs. Constant written and oral communication and the ability to reason and analyze and perform calculations occasionally. Work is performed using a computer and standard office equipment daily and driving a vehicle occasionally. Minimum Qualifications:

One year of customer service, retail, cash handling, or related experience preferred. Basic computer skills, including experience with email and web-based applications. Ability to accurately handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills.
