Main Job Functions:

This work study position provides administrative and logistical support to the Colorado Law Enforcement Training Academy (CLETA) program. Duties include: assisting instructors with classroom setup and breakdown, including AV equipment and training materials; preparing and organizing training supplies, uniforms, and equipment for scenario-based exercises; supporting front-desk and reception duties for the CLETA office, including answering phones and directing visitors; assisting with data entry and recordkeeping related to student files, certifications, and attendance tracking; helping coordinate logistics for scenario days and range days, including volunteer sign-in and equipment staging; maintaining cleanliness and organization of classrooms, storage areas, and equipment rooms; and performing other duties as assigned by CLETA staff.

Working Conditions:

This position requires constant sitting, occasional walking, standing and driving; occasional handling objects, pushing/pulling; frequent reaching with hands/arms, and use of finger movements; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 lbs. Constant written and oral communication and the ability to reason and analyze and perform calculations occasionally. Work is performed using a computer and standard office equipment daily and driving a vehicle occasionally. Minimum Qualifications:

Must be a currently enrolled CMC student in good academic standing. Preference given to students enrolled in Criminal Justice coursework with an interest in pursuing the CLETA program. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to maintain confidentiality regarding student and program records. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required. Must be comfortable working in a law enforcement training environment and interacting professionally with academy staff, instructors, and law enforcement personnel. Must pass a background check as required for access to CLETA facilities and records. No prior law enforcement or CLETA experience required — this is intended as an entry point for students interested in the field.
